Brig weighed in at a whopping 11 lbs 10.4 oz on Wed. June 18th! We also had an OT/PT appointment that day. He is stronger on the left side so we are working on strengthening the right side -- we don't want him to be lop-sided ;-). He is also "working out" on his tummy to strengthen his neck, chest and back muscles. We will continue to follow up with the OT & PT to make sure he is on the right track.
Grammy & Grampy Hanson came to visit this weekend. They hadn't seen Brig since the end of April. He has changed so much since then. He had lots of play time with them and thought they were very funny! Check out the pics in the slide show.

Big Boy
We had Brig weighed today. He is 10 lbs 4.6 oz. This is exactly 2 lbs heavier than when he was weighed on April 19th! It was good to see him next to the "little" babies. He was on the table next to this very tiny looking little girl. I asked the mom how much she weighs... she was 5 lbs 7oz. Still much bigger than he was at birth but she looked so little compared to him now.

Superstar

We went to watch our friends the Gearhard's play baseball and softball yesterday. It was sunny and warm so we had to wear lots of sunscreen and try out the new sunglasses!!
Brig seems to be going through a growth spurt. He has been a very hungry little catepiller the last couple of days. We hope to get him weighed tomorrow. It is making us crazy not being able to have him weighed every week to check his growth. (obsessive - I know)
We also had a beautiful first Mother's Day. Brig and his daddy picked out a beautiful ring with Brig's birthstone! We went to church and then down to Aurora to see grandma Winchell.
I'll post again when I know how much he weighs. I'm betting 10 1/2 lbs...

Brigham's Brigade
First of all we want to thank all of our friends and family who supported us with the March for Babies. Brigham's Brigade raised $1500!!!
We have been very busy the past couple of weeks. Ross' dad and stepmom (Ron & Connie) came to visit for a couple of days on April 18th. (see pics in the April slideshow). On April 24th our friend Kathi came to visit from Seattle. April 26th was the March for Babies. The weather wasn't very cooperative - it was very windy and snowy! We did make at least part of the walk. We ended up stopping at a coffee shop to warm up and most of us decided we were done with the walk. There are several pictures on the slideshow.
Last but not least, I went back to work and Brigham began going to the babysitters. We are very lucky to have a great day care provider who has only Brig and her 4 year old granddaughter so Brig is getting lots of love and attention!! That allows me to be very happy being back at work. It is truely a blessing that I don't have to worry if he is being cared for and loved.
Now that I am back at work, we aren't able to have Brig weighed as often. I am guessing that he is about 9 and a half lbs. It seems like he has had a growth spurt the past week. The newborn sized clothes are starting to seem short and we are moving on into the 0-3 mo sized clothes!

A busy April

The month of April is flying by! We made a week long trip to Kansas to see my friends and family. (Check out the April slideshow for pics of Brig with the Berkgrens, Grammy & Grampy and Great Grandma and Grandpa Zimmerman). On the 10th Brig had a doctors appointment. He weighed 8 lbs 9oz!! He is doing great! Yesterday was my birthday and when Ross asked what I wanted to do for my birthday I said I wanted family photos. So... we headed to Sears for a photo session. You can check out the products on the slide show also. Yesterday afternoon we went to Denver to meet my brother Aaron. Uncle Aaron hadn't seen Brig since the day after he was born and had never been able to hold him. Can't wait for all the things Uncle Aaron will teach Brig. Last but not least, on the way home we stopped at our friends the Carsons.
Next weekend Grandpa and Grandma Hofmann are coming to meet Brigham and the following weekend is the March for Babies walk. We hope to see lots of you there!
